Notes

Luke Ray was born in Wake Co., NC. He had moved to Lancaster Co. SC prior to the birth of Daniel Tillman Harrison, who the family called "Tillman"; his wife Parthenia Emily Bailey was called "Emily".

Note that the IGI and LDS indicates that Luke was b. in SC.

The following was found in the Harrison Heritage that must be regarding this family: "WILLIE TILLMAN HARRISON, first husband of HELEN HAM who was born 1842, Columbia, TN, daughter of J. D. and MARY HELEN (GUTHRIE) HAM, both of Giles County, TN and later of Lauderdale County, AL. WILLIE TILLMAN HARRISON was son of LUKE HARRISON born NC ca 1789 who had other sons: MARTIN; MARION; and JOHN TYLER HARRISON. LUKE HARRISON married MARY (PATTY) __________, and his brother, __________HARRISON married MARY HARRIS of Virginia. JOHN TYLER HARRISON born SC ca 1811-1814, married his first cousin, MARY HARRISON, born ca 1811-1814. She was the daughter of MARY HARRIS above, and the sister of Luke.
