Memorial
Martha Jane "Annie" LAMB
~ Annie Hindorff ~

(1896 - 1998)

"I will remember you...will you remember me?"

©2000 This is the way I will always remember her best...cute little Grannie, always hiding under that big hat when it was picture-taking time.

(That's Grampa's old Adobe behind her.)

Annie in front of the old Pine tree that Grampa planted for her as a Wedding Anniversary gift. There were two pines in front of the house and several planted out behind the house. The pines came from the area where they had their Honeymoon . It was where they went every year for their Anniversary, for as many years as they could.
Here they are on their 30th Anniversary sitting beneath one of the old Pines. Getting ready to go to the mountains, to their Honeymoon spot.

Midi Song: "Mexicali Rose"

Grannie & Grampa used to play this song together. It was one of their old-time favorites and they played it often. Grampa played this lovely song on his fiddle, while Grannie accompanied him on the piano. Sure brings back memories of the good ole days for me!

They played a lot of the old tunes together. Grannie said Grampa taught her how to play the chords on the piano. "Dad was a good teacher!", she would would reply with a blush, whenever anyone told her how good she played.

Look at those big blue eyes!

Her hair was a bright auburn when she was a girl - A "carrot top", so I understand, and she hated it! After she grew up, she cut it short and kept it that way the rest of her life...and wore a hat to keep the sun off her face so she wouldn't freckle like that in the picture anymore (and to hide that red hair, I suspect).
