The painting is attributed to Charles Bridges about 1735 and hanging in the Governor's Mansion. I scanned it from Havighurst's bio ("Alexander Spotswood: Portrait of a Governor," 1967). Hope I'm not stepping on anyone's copyrighted toes. But a handsome face like a Spot(t)swood face ... well, you just have to share!
