To search the
probate records available at the Delaware
Public Archives, visit their Probate
Database.
All Perkins/Purkins
in the probate records are listed on
this site.
Note:
If you would like copies of probate records from the Delaware
Public Archives, I suggest ordering them directly from the archives,
rather than requesting copies of any that I have from me. Not only
is it prohibited for me to make copies, but it is also very laborious
and expensive given that the pages are oversized (trip to the copy
center + cost of oversized copies) and trip to the post office to
determine cost of postage. You will see that ordering from the
archives is at a reasonable cost and their response time is a couple of
weeks.
First email the archives regarding the probate
records that you are interested in, stating the name, county and
year. They will notify you of the cost which includes postage and
handling.
Below is a letter that I used to
order Warner Perkins' probate records of 1849 after their response to my
initial inquiry about that probate, their response included the cost of
the order.
