Section 19 Eliza Township - see Eliza Township Map. Also see Cemetery maps on the Cemeteries page. Tracy St. Clare furnished the photo of Union Church which she tells us is across the street from Eliza Creek Cemetery. There is an index of tombstones prepared by the William Dennison Chapter of the DAR in Mercer County on the IlGenWeb Site. You can search by surname or find the Eliza Cemetery in Volume 1 of the books. If you find your person (s) listed in the index send the names and volume and page number to Nadine Holder (email on About Us Page) and she will do a library lookup for what is listed on the tombstone. This is a long term project. As we do lookups by request in Eliza Creek Cemetery we will add the information here with volume and page number matching the index at IlGenWeb (link above). We will also post photos here as we receive them. Please also consider posting on Findagrave (link at top of page). Looser/Nelson Photos by Tracy St. Clare - for more on the Sloan/Looser families see the Sloan Page. We have added a Nelson page. |
