1st wife - Elizabeth Teasley, she was dau of Benegar Teasley and
Lucy Haley and the granddaughter of Isham Hailey Teasley 1776
and Jane "Gency" Adams. Great granddaughter of John Teasley II,
Rev Sol b 1755 and Luch Hunt b 1757.
Their Children: Benegar Teasley Brown 1841; John Andrew Jackson
Brown, 1843; Isham Hailey Brown, 1846 migrated to MS; Laura
Cornelia Brown, 1850.
2nd wife: Sarah Catherine Maxwell, widow of Wm Barden Rucker, he
was the brother of Sarah Ann Rucker who was the wife of Andrew
Jackson Brown, the twin brother of Roland. William was in Co.
F, 38th GA Regt. Inf. and died in Richmond Va from Typhoid. His
nephew William Jefferson Brown died Aug 13 & 14th 1862 at the
Belmont Hospital owned by Alexander Brown, who wrote the Cabell
Genealogy. Belmont was another home built by the Cabells.
