DAY ... 21Nov2006 ... DAY, William ...
We are looking for the family of William Day of St Clair County, Alabama.
According to census records he came from somewhere in Georgia, and was born
about 1822. He married 3 daughters of Nathaniel Hawkins, Permelia, Cynthia (Syntha)
and Mary Ann, along with Minerva Omah Ann Morrison. We have a book about
Trout Creek in St Clair County by Sisson that said he came to Trout Creek,
St. Clair County, before 1870. His first wife was the daughter of Nathaniel
Hawkins. The children born of his first marriage included, Thomas, James,
Charlotta, Louisa. He married Permelia Hawkins, and had several children,
then married Permelia's sister Syntha Hawkins Singleton who had been married
to a David Singleton first. 1900 census lists William as 77 years old in St
Clair County, Alabama, living with 3rd wife, Minerva. They had been married 13 years.
He had children with each wife.
