letters are compiled by his granddaughter, Marilyn Stanley of
British Columbia.   These letters as written to his father in Ireland,
George Wilson Stanley, describe his new Canadian life in

Fay Ratcliff has put together a fairly large database of nearly 16,000 individuals, featuring the ancestors and descendants of her husband Shelby Ratcliff.   Here you will find such family relationships of the Matthews, Falveys, Britts, Smiths, Reeds, just to mention a few, but especially the Ratcliff family whose ancestors date back to the year 1020 with Ivo de Tailbois of Normandy, France.

The Bureau of Land Management

Here is valuable source of information!   The BLM has posted information on land patent transfers from 1820 to 1908.   From their web site, you can search for
land transfer documents, and even copy the actual land patent on line!
To access it, click on their icon to the left.
