15 Sep 1800 a court martial was held on board the Sensible, in Sheerness harbour, to try James Blew of the Pouncer, for desertion, who was found guilty, but in view of his former extremely good character was only to receive 200 lashes - irony alert !!

12 Mar 1801 following the departure of the North Sea fleet earlier this morning, under the command of Adm. Sir H. Parker and Lord Nelson, from Yarmouth, for Copenhagen, the Princess of Orange remains in the Roads at N. Yarmouth, under the command of Adm. Dickson, with the Monmouth, Agincourt, Leyden, and Madras, 64s ; and Assistance, 50 ; with the Ariadne, Solebay and Waakzamheid, frigates ; and the Liberty cutter, and Pouncer gun brig.

3 Dec 1801 remains Sheerness with numerous vessels, waiting to be paid off etc.

8 Jan 1802 to depart Sheerness this evening for the River the gun brigs Constant, Manley, Conflict, Pouncer, and Haughty, with seamen to be put on board the newly built Plantagenet, laying at Woolwich, to bring her down to the Nore. Wind ENE, Moderate.

7 Apr 1802 one of 20+ vessels to be paid off at Sheerness and the Nore.

9 Sep 1802 notice is given that the Pouncer Gun-Vessel, Copper-bottomed, lying at Sheerness, has been put up for sale.
