Stories of our Ancestors
The stories on this page are about the experiences along the research path and reveal what is known, implied, or suspected.
How many of us have searched for years to find which Strickland line our oldest known ancestor belonged with no success? Along the way, we have all amassed a great deal of material that did not reveal anything of our ancestor's line as well as having expended many hours of time and even more $$$.
However, sometimes during the course of our search the material found has suggested connections and over the years, led to a belief about our ancestor's kin for which proof will never be found. Since we have worked so hard and for so long, we have accumulated a "story" of that search and of our ancestor. Even if we cannot establish the lineage, not all is lost, we now have experiences and knowledge to share with others... and we can do that here.
