| [From the Macomb Eagle, Macomb, IL, 12/24/2008] Virginia B. Vail Virginia B. Vail, 93, Macomb, died at 8:05 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008, at Wesley Village Healthcare Center, Macomb. She was born Nov. 3, 1915, in Canton, the daughter of Frank and Myrtle (Fierce) Brown. She married Russel S. Vail on Nov. 19, 1939, in Canton. He preceded her in death Sept. 21, 2001. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Ann Shoham, Madison, Wis.; and one sister, Dorothy Phillips, Canton. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, James R. Vail. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home, Macomb, is in charge of arrangements.
