Lloyd Monroe Gaerte is the son of Lucinda Jane Shriner and Andrew Gaerte. He was born 2 February 1885 in Columbia City, Whitley, Indiana. He died 8 January 1963 at age 77 in Nampa, Canyon, Idaho. He is buried at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Canyon, Idaho.

• On 29 June 1907, he married Mary Regina Schrader in Whitley county, Indiana. She is the daughter of Lewis Schrader and Leah Nolt. She was born 24 December 1889 in Columbia, Whitley, Indiana. She died in July 1982 at age 92 in Plainfield, Union, New Jersey. This marriage had apparently ended in divorce between 1910 and 1914.
• On 23 December 1914, he married Martha Ann Woods in Tecumseh, Pottawatomie, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of George Newton Woods and Rhoda Clarice Tanksesley. She was born 25 March 1887 in Russell, Camden, Missouri. She died 7 November 1971 at age 84 in Nampa, Canyon, Idaho. On 10 November 1971, she was buried at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Canyon, Idaho.

Children of Lloyd Monroe Gaerte and Martha Ann Woods:

1. George Andrew Gaerte was born 26 January 1916 in Aline, Alfalfa, Oklahoma. He died 29 February 1924 at age 8 in Nampa, Canyon, Idaho. He is buried at Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Canyon, Idaho.
2. Edith May Gaerte was born 3 August 1919 in Greeley, Weld, Colorado. She died 20 December 2000 at age 81 in Albany, Dougherty, Georgia. On 22 December 2000, she was buried at Albany, Dougherty, Georgia.
   • She married Clarence E. Booth. He was born 19 June 1921. He died 17 November 1988 at age 67 in Albany, Dougherty, Georgia.
3. Harvey Lee Gaerte was born 7 December 1922 in Buhl, Twin Falls, Idaho. He died 22 July 1925 at age 2.
4. Glenn Monroe Gaerte was born 21 April 1926 in Nampa, Canyon, Idaho.
5. Ethel Fay Gaerte was born 23 April 1929 in Nampa, Canyon, Idaho.
