     John S Motschenbacher was born on 29 September 1877 in Arcadia, Templeau County, Wisconsin, USA.1 He was the son of George Motschenbacher and Kunegundis Rebhahn.1
     John S Motschenbacher married Anna Malchose, daughter of Hubert Malchose and Mary Schmidt, in Barnesville, Clay County, Minnesota, USA, on 23 November 1898.1
     John died on 15 October 1956 in Sabin, Clay County, Minnesota, USA, at age 79.1

John Motschenbacher, 79, of Sabin Dies After Fall

John Motschenbacher, 79, of Sabin, Minn., who had resided in Clay Countymost of his life, died Sunday in a local hospital.
Mr. Motschenbacher was injured last Friday when he fell down a flight ofstairs in his fram home, six miles south of Sabin. He had beenhospitalized since.

Requiem High Mass will be at 9 Thursday in St. Francis de Sales CatholicChurch in Moorhead, the Rev. Francis Ketter officiating. Burial will beat Barnesville, Minn.

Friends may call after Wednesday noon at Cadieaux Chapel, where theRosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Mr. Motschenbacher was born Sept 29 1877, in Arcadia, Wis., and came toAlliance Township, Clay County, in 1879, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.George Motschenbacher.

He grew to manhood in the community and married Annie Malchose inBarnesville Nov., 23, 1898. They had farmed at Sabin since.
Besides his wife he leaves several sons, Arthur, Alvin, Jack, Paul,Walter, Donald and Lester, all Sabin; five daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Hazel)Mikkelson, and Mrs Lester (Grace) Rosenfeldt, both Sabin, Mrs. Kenneth(Cecelia) Weintz, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Bert (Florence) Mason,Springfield, Ore., and Mrs. William (Beatrice) Griffin, Buckeye Lake,Ohio; 61 grandchildren and 28
great-grandchildren. Two daughterspreceeded him in death.

Mr. Motschenbacher was a member of Catholic Order of Foresters and hadserved many years on the Sabin town board, the district school board andon the board of directors of Comstock Elevator.1
