Comments: Though my surname is BARDUE, my great great grandfather spelled it BURDUE. His name was Benjamin and I've tried off and on for years to identify him with your ever-so-great uncle Benjamin, who is shown as one of Nathaniel's sons.
I'm wondering if you might have any substantial sources that show Nat's offspring and if you might share it with me.
I'd be happy to send you the "circumstantial" stuff I've dug up.

Comments: Thank you for your data which I'm currently using to correct a lot of wrong data I had concerning the ancestors of my 3rd great-grandfather, John LOVELAND(BIRTH: 29 Jul 1798, Winsor,VT * DEATH: Mar 1890, Ohio Father: Joseph LOVELAND Mother: Mercy BIGELOW). I was born in the town in Ohio (New Haven, Huron County) where this John LOVELAND died.

I think we may be related. I think I saw (within your site), that the bold names are from your line? You had Hugh Grimes Carley in bold. He was my gr-gr-grandfather. Carlton Graves Carley is my gr-grandfather. William Field carley is my grandfather, Richard Orin Carley is my father. By the looks of this VERY IMPRESSIVE site - looks like I may have come to the right place.. I was thinking my line may lead to some of the names on your line.

Comments: I'm a great-granddaughter of Georgia Carley-Woody-Perine...I just heard today that g-g-uncle Frank Carley (her brother) passed away yesterday and being sentimental, I started searching for ancestery stuff. I didn't know him well, but remember him helping my father build a fireplace in our house out of prairie stone from Gram Perine's fields and I will always have the jewelry box that he carved for me. He was a really neat guy!

Anyway, thank you for putting this information "out there" for us to find.

It' s been obliterated from maps by roads and subdivisions. It's the gap between Huntsville Mtn and Green Mtn. going south toward the Tenn River. Cedar Gap is on the north end of Huntsville near Monte Sano Mtn. Civil War soldiers were all around Huntsville, mainly stationed downtown. Hvl was a major railroad/Tenn. River town. Comments: I am the grandson of Flora B. Miller, said to be the first teacher of Edma Catherine (Dunn) Burdue. In that article it is noted that Flora B. wrote some of the texts she recalled. I was looking for some of those old texts since, in the 1940's, my name and those of my siblings (Flora B.'s only grandchildren) were often used in them. I'm also now curious about Flora B. being "sister-in-law of Uncle Ted." My grandfather was Charles Miller, who died when I was very young. Could it be that we are somehow related? I didn't see Charles' name mentioned, but the relation with "Uncle Ted" tweeked my interest.
