Louis Henry PALMER
Louis Henry PALMER
24 September 1854 - 18 September 1915
Louis Henry, 3rd child and second son of Emmanuel & Susannah PALMER, was born 24 September 1854 in either Hilgay
or Methwold, Norfolk.
On the 1881 census, he is born in Methwold, Norfolk and on the 1891, he says he's born in Methwold, Suffolk!
BUT, to date, I cannot find any trace of his birth registration in the G.R.O. Indexes.
His birthdate is correct as it is in both his grandmother, Mary TEED's bible and in his wife, Catherine WATSON's
bible.
He was baptised at All Saints' Church, Hilgay on 22 October, 1854 along with his elder brother, Emmanuel.

**Ernest William is my Grandfather. I never knew him as he died just after my 2nd birthday.
Read about a boiler that Louis & his sons built for the Smedley's Jam factory in Wisbech!
Louis Henry died of pneumonia on 18 September, 1915. He was buried in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery
in Wisbech on 22 September 1915.
Catherine died 19 November 1940; she was buried with Louis on 22 November 1940.
I am still trying to trace an obituary for Louis in the Wisbech papers; but it is provong very elusive!
