In Obedience to an Order of Westmorland Court on the 28th day of March 1749, We the Subscribers being chosen by Eleanor Mothershead & Alexr: Claytor to settle & divide the land, houseing &c. between them as belonged to Christopher Mothershead, deced., and accordingly we have & they are well satisfied as appears to us & said Eleanor Mothershead for her part has chosen all the land lying between the Post that stands on the Main Road & along the other Road that goes to Leeds Town, to a Mulberry tree in or near the back Orchard & thence through the Peach and Apple Orchard to a [?] standing in or near the yard, from thence across to Nathl. Mothershead's line of Hicarys (sic) and along his line to a line of Butler's and thence to the Post where it began, and for her part of Houseing she has made choice of the former Dweling (sic) house & another small House called a Hen House &c. As Witness our hands this 22nd day of April 1749

At a Court held for the said County the 25th day of April 1749 This Division & Allotment of Land between Eleanor Mothershead, Widow and Relict of Christopr: Mothershead, deced., and Alexr. Claytor, Exor. of the said deced., and Guardian to Christopher Mothershead, an Infant, was returned into Court under the hands of Thomas Shaw, Law: Butler, Senr., & Hump: Quesenbury, being the person appointed for that purpose, was ordd. to be recorded & is truly recorded.
