Marshall County, VA-WV Will Book I, page 150 Date of Will: 2 January, 1851 Probated: 1852
In the name of God Amen. I, ISAAC HUBBS of Marshall County and the state of Virginia, being of a sound, disposingmind and memory, revoking all others do make this my last will and testament as follows. To wit, I willand bequeath to my son, ISAAC HUBBS, that part of the place he now lives on as surveyed by John Dickey as follows.Beginning at a poplar at the head of a drain in my line and within said drain to my East line including allthe land I now hold North east of said drain. To have and to hold the same to him and his heirs forever, andfurther I will and bequeath to my wife BARBARY HUBBS, all my personal property and real estate being theremainder of the tract that I now live on in Marshall Co. VA, or any other lands that I may possess to have andto hold during her natural lifetime, and after her decease I wish the remainder of my personal property and realestate to be sold to highest and best bidder at public sale and the proceeds of said sale after all my just andlawful debts are paid to be equally divided among all my children, that is, ELIZABETH HUBBS, GEORGE HUBBS,CATHARINE AMBLER, JOSEPH HUBBS, FANNY TEAGARDEN, BARBARY GRIMES, ISAAC HUBBS, REBECCA EARLYWINE, and to mydaughter MARGARET PEARSON I will and bequeath five dollars and the remainder of what would be her distributiveshare. I will and bequeath to her daughter, AMEJANE CROW to be paid her by my executors when shearrives at the age of twenty one years, but in case said AMEJANE CROW should decease before she becomes 21 years of age,her share shall be equally divided among all my heirs. I hereby appoint my sons JOSEPH HUBBS and ISAAC HUBBS myexecutors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I herewith set my hand and seal this second dayof January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one.

The last will and testament of ISAAC HUBBS deceased was proved according to law by the oaths of Edward Dowler andJeremiah Higgs the subscribing witness thereto and is ordered to be recorded, and on motion of JOSEPH HUBBS oneof the Executors therein named who made oath thereto and together with Walker Thompson and Elijah Clegg hissecurities who qualified to their sufficiency entered into and acknowledged their bond in the penalty of $2000conditioned as the law directs. Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate of the said will in dueform liberty being reserved to the other executors named in the said will to join in the probate where he shall thinkfit.
