Note*   Carlos is the son of Marian M and James H. Bostwick. His parents moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan and Carlos enlisted in the Army, Co., D., 2nd Infantry after the Civil War. His regiment took part in enfording the recnstruction in the south and saw some skirmishes and the unit received battle honors, one of those being for service in Chattanooga where Carlos was discharged.2,3,4
