He was born July 19, 1925 in Randolf, VT, and was a graduate of the Cleveland State College, and a U.S. Navy Veteran. He retired in 1989 from the Hoover company where he had worked as an engineer. He was a longtime member of the American Society of Metals, the North Canton Elks and Community Christian Church, where he served as an elder and sang in the choir. He is survived by his wife, Jean Barch , of the home; son, Brian Barch of Sacramento, CA; daughters, Cynthia Romy of Los Angeles, CA, Sharon Robinson and Nancy Kaczor both of Milan, OH, Susan Smith of Canton, and Sandy Kryscuk of Apollo Beach, FL; grandchildren, Barrett, Randy, Alyssa, Kyle, Nathanael, Evan, Drew, and Jennifer; sister, Adelaide Patch and sister-in-law, Sally Ludwig. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Christian Church with Rev. Donald Beard officiating and Mr. Douglas Patch assisting. Burial in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call one hour before services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Christian Church Choir Fund, the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association. Arrangements by Karlo & Sons Funeral Home.
