George Clark Kaser, 72, of Sigel, Pa., and formerly of Aurora, died at his home Monday, March 24, 2003.
He had lived in Aurora for more than 42 years prior to moving to Pennsylvania four years ago.
Born May 19, 1930, in Knoxville, Ky., he was the son of George C. and Dorothy (McDowell) Kaser and was raised in Sidney, Ohio.
He enlisted with the Marine Corps from 1948 to 1952 and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a warehouse manager for First Cleveland and owned his own catering business.
Survivors include his wife of six years, Linda (Pfost); sons, Steve (Toni) Kaser of Ashville, NC, Mark (Barb) Kaser of Houston and Shawn (Bobbie Joe) Kaser of Aurora; daughters, Sherry (Frank) Rogalski of Aurora, Renee (Dale) Scott of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Michelle (Rick) Wohala, Bev Moats (Tony Pollarine) and Stacey (David) Renszel, all of Aurora; stepsons, Mike Dean of Texas, and Ron Dean Jr. and Jason Dean, both of Aurora; stepdaughter, Jennifer Dean of Pennsylvania; 23 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Tim Kaser of Colorado; sister, Nancy Ralston of Colorado; and his former wife, Molly (Moore). His brother, Mike, died previously.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 tonight at the Kindrich-McHugh Steinbauer Funeral Home, 33375 Bainbridge Road, Solon, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Aurora Cemetery. Aurora VFW Post 2629 will conduct services at 8 p.m. Thursday and on Friday morning. Memorials may be made to VFW Post 2629.
