| News/Obit* | 11 March 2015 | Kenneth LeCrone PORT ALLEGANY - Kenneth A. LeCrone, 72, of Lillibridge Creek, passed away Monday (March 9, 2015) in UPMC Hamot, Erie. Born Sept. 28, 1942, in Altoona, he was a son of Earl C. and Louise G. Peterson LeCrone. On Dec. 16, 1972, in Port Allegany, he married Kathryn M. Cook, who died May 18, 1998. Kenneth was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. LeCrone was a long-time resident of the area coming from Williamsport. He attended the Evangelical Covenant Church in Port Allegany. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are four sons, George C. (Elaine) LeCrone of Mercerville, N.J., Kenneth A. (Tracy) LeCrone Jr. of Troopsburg, N.Y., Dale A. (Adrienne) LeCrone of Harrisburg, and Thomas J. LeCrone of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a stepson, Robert K. (Bonnie) Easton of Port Allegany; a stepdaughter, Pamela J. McGuffee of Williamsburg, Va.; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, George C. (Anna Marie) LeCrone of Knoxville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Kathryn. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. J.T. Madison, pastor of the Evangelical Covenant Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany. Memorials can be made to the Evangelical Covenant Church; or McKean County VNA.
