Stanton W. Metz, 53, Confluence, died June 25 in University Hospital, Morgantown. He was born December 30, 1912 in Confluence.
He is survived by his mother, Lottie (Firestone) Younkin; his wife, the former Freda Morrison; the following children, Mrs. Betty Colflesh, Miss Eva Metz, George Metz, Mrs. Deloris Trimpey, and Brenda Metz, all of Confluence and the five grandchildren.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, Carl, Charles, and Ross Metz, Confluence; Harry Metz, Lafayette, Ind.; Robert Metz, Klamats Falls, Ore.; William Metz, in the Air Force; Mrs. Elsie Trebis, New London, Ohio; Mrs. Rose Tangemann, Charleston, S.C.; Irma Pligrino, Miami, Fla.; Mrs. Evan Johnson, Falls Church, Va.; and Mrs. Dorothy Kegley, Landover, Md.
Service was held June 29 at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, with Rev. Vernon Witt officiating. Interment was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
