My Phillips Family Genealogy

My earliest proven Phillips ancestor is Charlota (Charlotte "Lottie") Phillips Willis Sanders, my great-great-grandmother. I am told her middle name was Roseanna. Her death certificate states she was born in Tennessee to father Phillips, born in Tennessee, and mother Shultz (maiden name). I am told that her father's name was William and her mother's name was Jennia. I have found a census in Hawkins County, Tennessee, for a William Phillips with a daughter of Charlotte and believe it to be him. It shows him married to a Jemima but that name could have been Jennia/Jennie as it is unclear. Another interesting story about Lottie is that family rumor says she was of American Indian descent.
