Hugh D. Rinker, 72, of Slatington, passed away October 8, 2007, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Jeanette Rinker. They had celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary last February. Born in Egypt, he was the son of the late Hugh N. and Marjorie (Stewart) Rinker. Hugh worked for Acme Markets for 41 years, starting as a clerk and working his way up to assistant manager before retiring. He served in the Navy from 1955 to 1959. He was past commander of the American Legion, Slatington, treasurer of the Slatedale-Emerald Lions Club, consistory member of St. Johns U.C.C., Slatington, past member of the Poor Mans Golf Association and a volunteer driver for NOVA.
Survivors: Wife; daughters, Karen, wife of Randy Frable of Palmerton, Sherry, wife of David Ramer of Coplay; two grandchildren, Chris Frable, Randy Frable Jr.; sister, Charlotte, wife of Richard Reitz of Williamsport.
Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007, St. Johns U.C.C., 15 S. Second St., Slatington. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Thursday in the church.

Born November 16, 1925 in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Pearl (Hawk) Hahn. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Bath, where she was active in the Ladies Aide. She was a homemaker.
Survivors: In addition to her husband, she was survived by five sons, Harry and his wife, Kathy, of Whitehall, David of Whitehall, James and his wife, Doris, of Bath, Bruce and his wife, Patricia, of Northampton, Grant and his wife, Gwen, of Palmerton; five daughters, Kathy Stump and her husband, Stanley, of Bath, Nancy Laubach and her husband, Robert, of Nazareth, Susan Keefer of Nazareth, Wanda Morgan and her husband, Ivan, of Palmerton, Trudy Brown and her husband, Joseph, of Nazareth; 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol DiOdoardo, and a sister, Florence Rissmiller.

Bertine H. Bert Keefer, 83 of Bath formerly of Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton for the past year and a half died Sunday, July 27, 2008, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, 17th and Chew, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Violet (Hahn) Keefer who died in 2006. Prior to her death they shared 58 years of marriage. Born March 21, 1925 in Lansford, son of the late John and Lillian (Olsen) Keefer. Bert was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army. He worked as a crane operator for Keystone Cement Company, Bath for almost 40 years before retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bath. Life member of the Bath American Legion. Active in scouting for many years and served as Cub Master of Cubs Pack 33, Bath. Bert was the familys handyman and was known by those who loved him and knew him best as Mr. Fix-it.
Survivors: He is survived by five sons, Harry and his wife Kathy, and David, all of Whitehall, James and his wife Doris, and Bruce and his wife Patricia, all of Bath, Grant and his wife Gwen of Palmerton; five daughters, Kathy wife of Stanley Stump of Bath, Nancy wife of Robert Laubach of Nazareth, Susan Keefer, and Trudy wife of Joseph Brown all of Nazareth, Wanda wife of Ivan Morgan of Palmerton; sixteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his late wife Violet he is predeceased by a daughter, Carol DiOdoardo in 2001 and a sister Mildred Flick.
Services: Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 30, in George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., 2165 Community Dr., Route 946 Village of Moorestown-Bath.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Friends may call 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home.

Robert C. Wilson, 49, of 802 S. 12 St., Allentown, died Saturday at home. The Lehigh County coroner's office attributed death to natural causes.
Wilson was the husband of Brenda B. (Hahn) Wilson of Bath for 27 years.
He was a chemical specialist at Mallinkrodt Baker Co., Phillipsburg, for 27 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of Charles F. and Blanche B. (Woodley) Wilson of Bethlehem.
He was a member of New Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.
Survivors: Wife and parents; son, Mark P. of Waynesboro, Va., and a daughter, Heather Wilson-Rucher of Hellertown.
