Charles A. Voiles was born say 1844.¹ He was the son of (?) Voiles. Charles served in the military during the Civil War. He mustered into C Company 6th Iowa Infantry as a private.² Charles married Julia Ann Millslagle, daughter of Samuel Milslagel and Hannah Wickham, on 28 January 1864. He was about 20 and she was one month short of 16.³ Charles and Julia had at least two children. These children are Juliette and Charles A.. Charles was reportedly murdered (date unknown).
