[9524] It is extremely easy to confuse the children produced by ClarenceNorman and Annie McPherson. Simply stated, Clarence was married threetimes. He had six children by his first wife, one by his second wife,and thirteen by Annie McPherson his third wife... for a total oftwenty children. Annie was married twice. She had one child by herfirst husband, and the thirteen she shared with Clarence Norman.Between the two of them, Clarence and Annie were married five times,and twenty-one total children were produced by these marriages.

[124] He was originally buried in the Van Slyke community cemetery, near hishome. Over the passage of many years, this cemetery was abandoned andfell into serious disrepair. About 1967, the remaining Normanchildren jointly moved his remains (and those of several other familymembers) to Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.

[125] He was living next door to his widowed mother.

[126] One of the interesting stories she would relate about her life wasthat as a child in Fannin County, she often sat on a log in an "openair" school, learning her ABC's while sitting next to a lad named SamRayburn. He eventually became Speaker of the US House ofRepresentatives, and served in that capacity from 1940-1961.

[4602] He was a graduate of Decatur Baptist College and SouthwesternTheological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

[4603] She was originally buried in the Van Slyke community cemetery, alongwith her father Clarence and brother Logan. However, many years laterall their remains were relocated to Gainesville, as a result of theabandonment and serious disrepair of the Van Slyke cemetery.

[4604] By then she was the oldest child remaining in the family household.

[4552] She and her brother Ted were the only ones of thirteen siblings toremain in Cooke County.
