   Stranger Beneath this Stone in silence rests My Daughter, My child, My Ellen, The Wife of David Ferguson. He departed this life On Tuesday the 8th day of May 1832. And Eleanor the Thursday Following. She has left this world of care and trouble At an early age to seek a better home. This is dedicated to her Memory by her Father Thomas Craven Formerly of Drumcashel Coy Louth now of the Town of Dundalk. When musing sorrow weeps the past And mourns the present pain How sweet to think of peace at last And feel that death is gain.

   
   
   

   To the memory Of MATHEW FERGUSON For forty years a resident in this parish died 22nd November 1853 aged 71 years Erected by his son CLEMENT FERGUSON I know that MY REDEEMER liveth Also to the Memory of his Daughter MARY who died the 20th day of April, 1854. And of his Wife JANE, who departed this life the 23rd day of July, 1858.

  • March 21, 1828 EXECUTION.Owen Ferguson and Mary Magrath were executed on Monday last, in front of Dundalk gaol, pursuant to their sentence
• Chronology of Irish History 1919 - 1923, 1923 Jan-22, 3 Anti-Treaty prisoners executed in Dundalk. They are James Melia, Dundalk (aged 20); Thomas Lennon, Dundalk (aged 19) and Joseph Ferguson, Gyles Quay, Greenore, Co. Louth. All three were arrested under arms on 7th Jan 1923.
