To start out with your research, go to the database and see if the person you are researching is mentioned there. The next step is to find census and other roll records (especially the Dawes enrollment cards and the Federal Censuses from 1900-1930). Other helpful sources are cemetery transcriptions, court documents, and newspaper clips, to name a few.
