January 1st Saturday 1842
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion it is agreed to call Brother Thomas HILL, Jr., one fourth of his time (to wit) the first Saturday and Sunday of every month for one year. And Brother HILL being present consented to serve the church.2nd Brethren Henry COBB and Aaron SCOTT are appointed to visit Sister Polly HOPKINS and Sister Melinda RODGERS and converse with them in reference to their having connected with another denomination and report at next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Whereas Sister Polly HOPKINS and Milinda ROGERS have connected with another denomination they are considered no longer as members with us. 2nd Dismissed by letter Brother Thomas HOPKINS and Sister Rebecca HOPKINS. No further business appearing adjourned.

March 1st Saturday 1842
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion brethren Thomas HILL, Thomas HILL, Jr., Aaron SCOTT, Henry COBB and Sidney BUTLER are appointed to meet in council with the White river Church at their next meeting to take into consideration the propriety of ordaining Brother John CHAMBERS to the work of the gospel ministry and to aid in the same if necessary in accordance with a request from said church. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion it is agreed by the church that in future the ordinance of the Lord's Supper be administered four times a year (to wit) June, October, January, and April. Joseph LAWTON in consequence of unchristian like conduct is considered no longer a member with us. No further business appearing adjourned.

The trustees employed Benj ROBINS to keep and furnish the meetinghouse with firelights for the term of one year from the first Saturday of April last at seven dollars and fifty cents.

June 1st Saturday 1842
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brethren Thomas HILL, Jr., chosen moderator and Allen HILL clerk. 2nd It is agreed by the church that a communion session be held at the school house No. 1 in Spencer Township on the 3rd Sunday of this month for the accommodation of members in that neighborhood. 3rd Sister DOTY, whose letter had been received at a previous meeting came forward and received the hand of fellowship and was thus recognized as a member of this church. No further business appearing adjourned.

July 1st Saturday 1842
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother W. D. BACON presented minutes of a meeting held at the schoolhouse No. 1 in Spencer Township which were read and ordered to be entered of record to wit At a meeting held by members of the Coffee Creek Church in the school house No. one in Township No. 6 North Range 7 east on Saturday the 18th day of June A. D. 1842 after praise and prayer the door was opened for the reception of members and while singing a hymn Nathan EVELETT arose signifying his desire to be accepted for baptism and after hearing his experience and the travel of his mind, he was cordially and unanimously accepted by the brethren and sisters, whereupon, on the Lord's day following he was buried by baptism at about 10 of the clock A. M. and after the common service of the day by brother Samuel M. STORY the Lord's Supper was administered and partaken of by the brethren and sisters.

August 1st Saturday 1842
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The clerk to prepare a letter for this church to the association and present it at next meeting for inspection and that Brethren T. HILL, T. HILL, Jr., Sam'l M. STORY, Aaron SCOTT and Henry COBB be appointed as messengers to bear the same. 2nd The church agrees to call Brother Wm. B. LEWIS to attend her third Sunday meeting. 3rd Sister Susan MAHEN requested a letter of dismission which is granted. No further business appearing adjourned to meet third Saturday of this month.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The letter to the association presented and adopted 2nd Sister Jane DIXON requested a letter of dismission which is granted. 3rd Received by experience for baptism Timothy B. LEWIS. No further business appearing adjourned. At meetings held on Neal Creek Sept 28-29, 1842 received by experience for baptism John MATLEY, Aaron MATLY, Jane MATLEY, Orson HIGGANS, Irena ENGLERIGHT, Casander JOURDEN, and Elizabeth RILEY.

Sister Elizabeth KASHOW departed this life Sept 1842.

October 1st Saturday 1842
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother SEBURN presented a request of the Bethany Church for aid in the ordination of Brother James SWINCHER to the gospel ministry (at their next meeting) whereupon Elders T. HILL, T. HILL, Jr. and Brethren A. SCOTT, H. COBB, and Wm. B. LEWIS are appointed to attend. 2nd Dismissed by letter Brother Barnett GADDY, Brother John ADAMS, Sister Hannah ADAMS, Sister Adaline ADAMS and Sister Evaline ADAMS. 3rd The church agree to call Brother T. HILL, Jr., to labor one half of his time in this church for one year, and he being present consented to serve the church. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Whereas Mary HOBBER (formerly Mary BACON) has connected with another denomination she is considered no longer a member with us. 2nd Brother Orlean SPAFFORD, Sister Jane SPAFFORD, and Sister Cordilla SPAFFORD being about to remove request letters of dismission which are granted. 3rd Received by experience for baptism Dudley WALTON.

March 1st Saturday 1843
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Whereas it is reported that Brother Orlean SPAFFORD since obtaining a letter of dismission has been guilty of unchristian like conduct on motion Brithren H. COBB, A. SCOTT, T. COBB, J. TOBIAS, and W. DIXON are appointed to visit Brother SPAFFORD and converse with him on that subject and if he shall fail to give them satisfaction then in that case they will request him to give up his letter and make report at next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned.

Brother Wm. BENNETT departed this life March 10th 1843.

April 1st Saturday 1843
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Thomas COBB presented a complaint against Brother Elon G. BACON for unchristian like conduct whereupon a committee of five to wit brethren A. SCOTT, S. BUTLER, John OSBOURN, William B. LEWIS, and Allen HILL were appointed to meet with Brother COBB and Brother BACON and if possible to settle the difficulty and report at next meeting. 2nd The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit Brother SPAFFORD report that Brother SPAFFORD gave satisfaction which report was concurred in a letter was presented to the church from Joseph JAMES once a member of this church in which he made such acknowledgement as gave satisfaction whereupon he was restored to fellowship and it is further ordered that he have a letter of dismission.

April 13th 1843
At a meeting held at Neal Creek received by relation Horatio WALKER.

May 1st Saturday 1843
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brethren John COBB and John TOBIAS are appointed to visit brother William DRENNEN and request his attendance at next meeting to answer to a report of his having acted disorderly. 2nd The brethren appointed at last meeting to wait on brother T. COBB and Brother E. G. BACON report that the difficulty is settled. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brethren Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Allen HILL clerk. 2nd The reference from last meeting of Brother Wm. DRENNEN came up for consideration and after some time spent therein on motion this case is continued until next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned.

July 1st Saturday 1843
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother William CARPENTER presented a complaint against Brother Mason P. RUTH for unchristianlike conduct and after some time spent on motion the further consideration of this case is referred until next meeting and a committee of five (to wit) Brethren H. COBB, A. SCOTT, J. COBB, J. FOWLER, and A. HILL are appointed to wait on the brethren and if possible to remove the difficulty and report at next meeting. 2nd Brother DRENNEN not being present that case is continued until next meeting. 3rd Dismissed by letter Sister Sally ann HARDING and Sister Aurelia RICH. No further business appearing adjourned.

July 16th 1843
At a meeting held at the house of Harris E. HAWS John EVELITH and Hannah EVELITH were received into the fellowship of the church by experience and baptism.

August 1st Saturday 1843
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The committee appointed at last meeting to wait on Brother Carpenter and Brother RUTH (could be "KEITH") report that the difficulty is settled. 2nd William DRENNEN in consequence of unchristianlike conduct is considered no longer a member with us. 3rd The clerk to prepare a letter to the association and present it at next meeting for the inspection of the church and Brethren T. HILL, T. HILL, Jr., S. M. STORY, W. B. LEWIS, and H. COBB chosen to bear the same to the association. 4th On motion the church request Brother Wm. B. LEWIS to fill one Sunday in each month by preaching and he being present accepted the invitation. No further business appearing adjourned to meet the 4th Saturday of this month.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Received by experience for bapatism Robert STEDMAN 2nd The letter to the association presented and adopted. 3rd A communication was presented from a number of members of this church living on Six Mile Creek requesting to be recognized as an arm of this church with Liberty to receive and expel members and also to administer church ordinances. On motion said request is granted with the express understanding that said arm will from time to time report their proceedings to the church for her approval or rejection. 4th Whereas Charles BARNES has connected with another denomination he is considered no longer a member with us. 5th Dismissed by letter Brother William HOPKINS and Sister Phebe HOPKINS. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Dismissed by letter Brother WARDEN LETT and Sister Morander LETT. 2nd Received by letter Sister Rachael SWINCHER. No further business appaearing adjourned.

December 1st Saturday 1843
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st A request was presented from the Bethany Church for aid in the ordination of Brother Joseph HANKINS to the gospel ministry, whereupon Brethren T. HILL, Jr., Wm. B. LEWIS, Thomas COBB, Aaron SCOTT, Henry COBB, and Thomas HILL agree to attend. 2nd Dismissed by letter Sister (blank) HALL. 3rd Brother Elias TOBIAS presented complaint against Brother Wm. OWEN for unchristianlike conduct whereupon brethren Henry COBB, Aaron SCOTT and Thomas COBB were appointed to visit brother OWEN and converse with him on that subject and if possible to settle the difficulty and report at next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned.

January 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer the church proceeded to business. 1st The case of Brother Wm. OWEN was brought up and after the report of the visiting brethren it is understood that the difficulty is settled between Brother OWEN and Brother TOBIAS. 2nd The door was opened for the reception of members and no more business presented. Adjourned.

February 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer the moderator not being present brother T. HILL, Sen, was chosen moderator pro tem. 1st On motion the brother deacon are directed to circulate subscriptions between this time and next meeting and ascertain what amount can be raised to support Brother Thomas HILL, Jr. provided the church should call him another year and that they report at next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned.

March 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Whereas Isaac PHILLIPS has connected with another denomination he is considered no longer a member with us. 2nd The reference from last meeting in regard to calling Brother T. HILL, Jr. to labor half his time for another year was taken up and on motion it was unanimously agreed that he be half his time for another year and he being present accepted the invitation. 3rd Received by letter Brother Nathan ROBERTSON and Sister Anne ROBERTSON. No other business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer the moderator not being present Brother Wm. T. STOTT was chosen moderator pro tem. 1st on motion brethren John COBB and Henry COBB are appointed to visit Brother James STEDMAN and cite him to attend at next meeting and answer to a report of his having acted disorderly. 2nd Received by letter Brother John WINSCOTT and Sister Hannah WINSCOTT. No further business appearing adjourned.

May 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the case of brother James STEDMAN was brought up and the brethren appointed at last meeting made report and the church deferred further action until the next meeting. 2nd The case of Brother William DRENNEN was taken up and after consultation Brethren James HAMMOND, John TOBIAS were appointed to see Brother DRENNEN and cite him to come to next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned.

June 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brethren Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Allen HILL clerk. 2nd The reference in case of Brother James STEDMAN came up for consideration when Brother STEDMAN came forward and made such acknowledgement as gave satisfaction. 3rd The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit brother Wm. DRENNEN reported that in accordance with the direction of the church visited the brother and cited him to attend at this meeting. But brother DRENNEN not being present on motion the further consideration of said reference is continued until next meeting. 4th Dismissed by letter brother John J. MARLIN. 5th Received by letter Brother Herman HAWS and Sister Alvira HAWS. No further business appearing adjourned.

July 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The reference from last meeting in the case of brother William BRENNEN was taken up and Brother BRENNEN not appearing to answer to the charge against him or to give satisfaction to the church he is considered no long a member with us. 2nd Dismissed by letter Sister Polena PLAKE (Late Polina CROFFORD). No further business appearing adjourned.

August 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st James STEDMAN in consequence of unchristian like conduct is considered no longer a member with us. 2nd The clerk to prepare a letter to the association and present it at next meeting for the inspection of the church and brethren Thomas HILL, Thomas HILL, Jr., Samuel M. STORY, William B. LEWIS, Aaron SCOTT and Henry COBB are appointed to bear the same to the association. 3rd The church voted to request the next association 4th The trustees are directed to ascertain what improvements are necessary to be made on the ground together with the probably cost of the same and report at next meeting. No further business appearing adjourned to meet the 5th Sunday of this month.

August 5th Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Aaron SCOTT presented a difficulty existing between Sister Phebe CLINES and Sister Susan SCOTT and on motion brethren H. COBB, J. FOWLER, A. HILL, S. BUTLER and A. SCOTT are appointed to visit the sisters and labor with them for a reconciliation and if unsuccessful cite them to attend at next meeting said committee to report at next meeting. 2nd Brother John COBB presented a complaint against Brother James LETT for unchristianlike conduct (Brother COBB and Brother TOBIAS having previously labored with Brother LETT) but Brother LETT not being present brethren Wm. BACON and Isaac COSSELL are appointed again to labor with brother LETT and cite him to attend at next meeting. 3rd The letter to the association … and approved Brother E. G. BACON requested letter fo dismission for himself and wife and also for Sister ELEONER, Ann KASHOW and brother S. W. BACON requested a letter for himself all of which are granted. No further business appearing adjourned.

October 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer the moderator not being present Brother T. HILL, Sen. Was chosen moderator pro tem. 1st The brethren appointed at last meeting visit Sister CLINES and Sister Susan LETT reported that they have been unsuccessful in settling the difficulty between the sisters and therefore cited them to attend at this meeting. But Sister CLINES not being in attendance after some time spent the further consideration of this case is continued until next meeting of which brethren S. BUTLER and Wm B. LEWIS are appointed to notify Sister CLINES. 2nd The brethren appointed at last meeting visit brother LETT not being present brethren John COBB and Henry COBB are appointed visit brother LETT and cite him to attend at next meeting and answer to the charges alledged against him. No further business appearing adjourned.

Mary HILL departed this life October the 24th 1844 in the Seventy fourth year of her age.

November 1st Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The reference from last meeting in the case of Sister CLINES and Sister LETT came up for consideration when brother BUTLER reported that he had notified Sister CLINES and she not appearing is considered no longer a member with us and Sister LETT is discharged from the censure of the church. 2nd The reference from last meeting in the case of Brother James LETT was taken up and upon due consideration he is considered no longer a member with us. 3rd Brother Nathan GREEN presented a complaint against Brother Matthew ARBUCKLE and on motion brethren J. FOWLER, John COBB, A. HILL, A. SCOTT and H. COBB are appointed visit the brethren and settle the difficulty if possible and report at next meeting. 4th Received by letter brother Cornelius WINSCOTT and Sister Nancy WINSCOTT. No other business appearing adjourned.

December first Saturday 1844
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The committee appointed at last meeting in the case of brother GREEN and brother ARBUCKLE reported the difficulty unsettled and on motion this case is again referred to the same committee. 2nd Whereas Rebecca RODMAN has removed from the bounds of this church without asking for a letter of dismission and whereas it believed that she has connected with another denomination she is considered no longer a member with us. 3rd Dismissed by letter brother Nathan ROBERTSON and Sister Anne ROBERTSON. Adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer the committee to whom was referred the difficulty (last) meeting between brother GREEN and brother ARBUCKLE report the same unsettled and after some time spent in the consideration of this case, the charge not being sustained, on motion this case is dismissed. 2nd A request was presented from the Grassy Creek for aid in the ordination of a deacon at their meeting 2nd Saturday, whereupon brethren A. SCOTT and H. COBB were appointed to meet with them for that purpose. 3rd The deacons are directed to ascertain what amount can be raised to support brother T. HILL, Jr. should he be called another year. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the deacons made their report and on motion the church agree to call brother T. HILL, Jr. one fourth of his time for one year from the 1st of January last. No further business appearing adjourned.

Dismissed by letter brother James OWEN and Sister Rachael OWEN.
Sister Anna TOBIAS departed this life Feb 1845.
3rd Dismissed by letter brother Joshua TIBBETS and Sister Jane TIBBETS. 4th It is decided by the church that where a course of labor is commenced and terminates in the restoration of the member no record shall be made. No further business appearing adjourned.

March 1st Saturday 1845
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the moderator not being present Brother William B. LEWIS was chosen Moderator protem. 2nd Sister DRENNEN requested a letter of dismission which is granted. Letter returned. 3rd Brethren T. HILL, Hill, Sen., A. SCOTT, and H. COBB agree to aggend with the Zion Church in accordance with a request from said church at her next meeting to aid in the ordination of deacons. 4th On motion the clerk is authorized to receive donations for the American and Foreign Bible Society and forward the same to the proper agents of said society and it shall be this duty to keep an account of monies that shall come into his hands and report to church once a year or oftener if called on by the church. 6th Received by experience for baptism William B. HILL, T. HILL, Jr., T. COBB, A. SCOTT, and S. BUTLER were appointed to meet with them for that purpose. No further business appearing adjourned.

The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the letter to the association presented and adopted. 2nd Brother Herman HAWS and Elona HAWS, his wife, requested letters of dismission which were granted. 3rd The church agree to call Brother Henry COBB to attend the Sunday after the fourth Saturday in each month and brother COBB being present accepted the invitation. 4th The trustees are directed to have the meetinghouse recovered. March 1st Saturday 1846
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother Wm. B. LEWIS presented a complaint against Brother Benjamin BYFIELD for unchristianlike conduct whereupon brethren A. SCOTT and S. HALL were appointed to visit brother BYFIELD and request his attendance at next meeting (or as soon thereafter as circumstances will permit) to answer to said complaint. 2nd On motion the clerk is directed to write to Brother Thomas PERREGRIN and to Brother Wm. ARBUCKLE and wife on the subject of their removal without letters of dismission and learning from them their wishes and intentions as regard to that matter. No further business appearing adjourned.

April 1st Saturday 1846
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st On motion Brethren James HAMMOND and A. SCOTT were appointed to visit Sister Nancy GREEN and converse with her in reference to her request to be excluded from the church and report at next meeting. 2nd Brother Albert JOHNSON, Sister Katharine JOHNSON and Sister Mary Ann GANNON requested letters of dismission which were granted. 3rd At the request of Hopewell Church, … the very brother CONWAY and Brother Jas. WALLACE the church agree to release Brother T. HILL, Jr., from one half of his time here to engaged. No further business appearing adjourned.

May 1st Saturday 1846
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st the brethren appointed at the March meeting to visit Brother Benj. BYFIELD reported that they had discharged that duty and brother BYFIELD not appearing to give satisfaction to the church he is considered no longer a member with us. 2nd The brethren appointed at last meeting to visit and converse with Sister GREEN made their report and after some time spent in the consideration of this case on motion Brethren S. BUTLER, Jas. HAMMOND, T. LEWIS, E. TIBBETS, and James FOWLER are appointed to visit brother and sister GREEN and brother KISER and inquire into and if possible settle a difficulty existing between them and if unsuccessful notify them to attend at next meeting. 3rd Brother John OSBOURN and Sister Elizabeth OSBOURN requested letters of dismission which were granted. No further business appearing adjourned.

after praise and prayer on motion it was decided by the church that so much of the act of last meeting as relates to the raising a committee to visit Brother and Sister GREEN and Brother KISER and so much as relates to the duties of said committee be recinded.

June 1st Saturday 1846
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brethren Thomas HILL chosen moderator and Allen HILL clerk. 2nd Brother W. D. BACON presented a difficulty existing between Brother Nathan GREEN and Brother Frederick KISER and on motion by Brother John COBB a committee of five consisting of Brethren Aaron SCOTT, Jas. FOWLER, Jas HAMMOND, Earl TIBBETS, Arnold Z. TEWEL were appointed to investigate the difficulty and all things touching the same and report at next meeting. 3rd The reference in the case of Sister GREEN was on motion continued until next meeting. 4th Received by letter Joseph MOSLEY and Katharine MOSLEY. No further business appearing adjourned.

July 1st Saturday 1846
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st Brother SCOTT from the committee to whom was referred the difficulty existing between Brother Nathan GREEN and Brother F. KISER reported that the committee have discharged the duties assigned them and that said difficulty is settled which report was concurred in. 2nd The reference in the case of Sister GREEN came up for consideration and after some time spent therein on motion by brother SCOTT she is considered no longer a member with us. 3rd The clerk read to church a letter from Brother T. PERRIGRIN (in answer to one written to him by order of the church) which gave such explanations as were satisfactory whereupon it is ordered that he have a letter of dismission as by him requested. 4th The clerk also read a similar letter from Brother William ARBUCKLE and Sister Mary ARBUCKLE but it appearing that some members of the church are not satisfied with Brother ARBUCKLE owing to his conduct previous to his removal it is therefore ordered by the church that Sister ARBUCKLE have a letter of dismission and that the clerk inform Brother ARBUCKLE of the objections in his case and that is will be necessary for him to remove them. No further business appearing adjourned.

August 1st Saturday 1846
The church met and after praise and prayer 1st The clerk to prepare a letter to the association and present it at next meeting and brethren T. HILL, T. HILL, Jr., S. M. STORY, Wm. B. LEWIS, H. COBB, and A. SCOTT appointed to bear the same. 2nd On motion by Brother T. COBB the church proceeded to elect by ballot two additional deacons when in comparing the votes it appeared that Brethren James FOWLER and Saml MALCOM were chosen to that office. 3rd Brother Abraham GANNON and Sister Phebe ann GANNON requested letters of dismission which were granted. No further business appearing adjourned.
