Funeral services were held April 17 for Richard C. "Dick" Horning, of Bishop, following his death April 13 at his residence. He was 68.
The Rev. Christopher P. Kelley of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church officated at the services, held at at the church and the China Lake Naval Honor Guard was also in attendance at the service. Burial was in East Line Street
Cemetery.
Mr. Horning was born October 21, 1920 in Fultonville, N.Y. He was with the United States Navy for 30 years. After retiring he was employed by Bishop High School for 17 years as a custodian.
He is survived by his wife Christian Horning of Bishop; one son, Wayne Horning of Long Beach, CA.; three sisters, Martha Griffith of New York, Marian Goldsmith of New York and Edna Tangedahl of Florida. He also leaves two
grandchildren, Kelly Horning of Long Beach and Cindi Brisbin of Pheonix, Ariz.
Pallbearers were Floyd Barton, Robert Curry, Gus Klekas, Kelly Horning, Ronald Thorpe and Raymond Milovich.
Those wishing to honor the memory of Dick Horning may contribute to St. Timothy's Episcopal church memorial fund, Bishop.

Funeral Services Held Saturday for Harry G. Matlick
--
Harry G. Matlick, long-time resident of Inyo County, passed away at Northern Inyo Hospital, Thursday, Dec. 14, at the age of 75. Services were held Saturday, December 16, at the Blake Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Matlick was born in Bishop, June 10, 1886 the son of Allen and Minnie Matlick. With the exception of 10 years spent in Woodland Stonyford, Calif., he lived his entire life in Bishop.
He is survived by his widow Lucille Smith Matlick; a son, Arthur of Bishop; two daughters, Dorothy Walkup of Stonyford and Helen Robbins of Bishop; four grandchildren, Larry and Peggy Walkup of Stonyford and Allen and Wayne
Matlick of Bishop; one sister, Mabel Rowan of Fontana; and seven nieces and nephews.
Interment was in the family plot at the Pioneer Cemetery.
