"I have recently found out that my father-in-law dad's name was
Varro Albert Sandidge and his father was Matthew P.
Sandidge,they all were born in Mississippi. My father-in-law and
his father later moved to Memphis. My father-in-law was Alva
Lamar Sandidge, he was born 1 May 1919 and died 14 Dec 1998.
Varro Albert Sandidge was born 7 Jul 1879 and died Feb. 1968, in
Memphis.
His father was Albert Sandidge, died July 22, 1966 or 1967 in
Memphis, TN. There
was also a sister, Margaret, died 1989 in Memphis, TN. Would to
find out more information on the Sandidge's.

Initial Immigrant from England, possibly from the small village
of Clara in the province of Stafford. He was the son of French
Immigrants. He came to Norfolk, Virginia sometime before 1673 as
the records show that in that year he owned two-hundred acres of
land in Henrico County, VA. Henrico was the relocation site of
the settlement at Jamestown.
"The earliest mention of Henry Trent in Virginia records is
1673, when he claimed headrights to 200 acres on the James River
in Henrico County, for bringing himself and three other people
to Virginia."
2 sons besides Henry - William and James no further info.
