Marshall Iona Cassingham was born 17 Feb 1841 in Dresden, Muskingum, Ohio. He is the son of Henry Cassingham and Jane Osler. Marshall died 29 Oct 1925 at age 84 in Wilmington, Will, Illinois.

On 30 Sep 1862, he married Eleanor Cullen in Goodfarm, Grundy, Illinois. Ellen, as she is known, is the daughter of John Cullen and Eliza Lingo. She was born about 1841/42 in Ontario, Canada. She died in 1919 at about age 77 or 78.

1. Eva L. Cassingham was born 29 Jul 1863 in Illinois. She died sometime before 1943. Eva never married.
2. Etta May Cassingham was born 10 Jun 1864 in Illinois.
3. Adella Cassingham was born 27 Dec 1866 in Illinois. She died sometime before 1943. Adella never married.
4. Fred Wallace Cassingham was born 23 Jan 1869 in Gardner, Grundy, Illinois.
