[1483] He was the first Justice of the Peace in Blairsville and one of theearliest residents; a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church inBlairsville. He migrated to what was later the Wm. Lawrence farm,Blacklick twp, in 1808. In 1821, he removed to Blairsville, where inthe same year he commenced his career as justice of the peace (thefirst in the village), which only terminated at his death, in 1845, inhis sixty-fourth year.."
