In the Name of God Amen J. Phillip King of the Township of Pikeland in the County of Chester and State of Pennsylvania Being Perfect health and of a Sound Mind and Memory but calling to Mind the Mortality of my Body do Make this my Last Will and Testament first that all my Just Debts and funeral Expenses be first paid and all the Rest or Remainder of my Estate Ordered as followeth

ITEM. I give and Bequeath unto my Beloved wife Mary one cow of her choise [choice] out of my Stock one Stove and pipe two Beds and their furniture of her choise and the Little House called the Weaver Shop with Priviledge of Ingress & Regress during her Natural Life and as much of my Houshold [Household] & Kitchen furniture as She may think She wants During her natural Life and after Decease to be sold at Publick Sale and the amount thereof to be Divided Equally Between my five children Namely Michael; Peter; Jacob my Daughter Catherine Orner & Eve Emry also I order and Direct that my son Peter his heirs Executors Administrator as assigns Shall Deliver unto my said wife yearly and Every year During her Natural Life in the Months of November or December one hundred wait of Good pork fifty wait of Good Beef also when she may Demand Eighteen Bushels of Rye three Bushels of wheat three Bushels of Buckwheat three Bushels of Indian Corn Twelve Bushels of potatoes yearly one Quarter of the Garden for her use the part She may chose [choose] also Liberty in the Spring house for her Milk and also Liberty in the Cellar to put her Meat or what she may want to put therein and also her Cow Kept well winter and Summer firewood cut and Halled to the Door fit for her use & also I order and Direct that my Executors Shall Imediately after my Decease do put out on Interest the sum of five hundred and thirty three & thirty four cents and the Interest thereof to be paid unto my said wife yearly and Every year During her Natural Life and after her Decease to be Eqully [Equally] Devided [Divided] Between my said five children Share and Share alike.

ITEM. I Give and Bequeath unto my Peter my Plantation whereon I now live in the Township of Pikeland containing about one hundred and fifty Acres to him and his heirs or assigns for Ever Subject to the Several Articles that he is to Deliver to my Wife and the Priviledges above Mentioned for her use and also to pay the sum of three thousand four hundred & Sixty Six Dollars and Sixty Seven cents Lawfull Money of the United States to be paid unto my Executors in the following Manner the sum of two hundred Dollars Yearly and Every year untill the whole is paid the first payment due one year after my Decease to be Equally Devided Between my said five children.

ITEM. Whereas I have Given my Son Michael the Sum of five hundred Pounds for which I have his Bond but no Interest to Charged on untill my Decease then to go upon Interest and to be Accounted for to my Executors out of his Share of my Estate.

ITEM. Whereas Benjamin Emry the Husband of my Daughter Eve has Receved [Received] from me the Sum of four hundred Dollars but no Interest to be Charged on it untill after my Decease which Sum with the Interest that may accrue on it after my Decease to be Accounted for out of her Share of my Estate.

ITEM. I Give and Bequeath unto my two Grand Children Phillip Longaker & Mary Longaker the Sum of One hundred Dollars Each to be paid them when the [they] arive [arrive] to the age of Twenty one years but if Either of them Should die before the arive to that age without Lawful Issue then in that case the Survivor Shall Receve [Receive] that Share but in Case both of them Should Die before the arive to that age then their Legacy Shall Return Back unto my Estate and be devided in the same Manner that the Rest of my Estate is Devided and I order and Direct that my Executors Imedeally [Immediately] after my Decease do put out on Interest the said Two hundred Dollars and pay the Interest thereof unto my Said wife Mary untill the arive of Age but if my wife Should die before the arive of Age then in that Case my said Grand Children Shall have it with their Legacys as aforesaid.

I order and Direct that my Lot of wood Land on the Valley hill Shall be sold by my Executors as soon after my Decease as they may think Best and I Authorise them to Make a Deed to the purchaser or the [unreadable Surver?] of them.

I order and Direct that my Executors do sell all the Rest or Remainder of my Personal Estate as soon after my Decease as they may think Best and the Money arising from the sale thereof and all the amount of my Estate be Equally Devided Between my five Children. Namely Michael Peter Jacob Catharine Orner & Eve Emry Share and Share alike.

And also I do Nominate Constitute and ordain my sons Michael King, Peter King & Jacob King Executors of this my Last will and Testament & I do hereby Revoke disallow all former will or Wills Retifying [Rectifying?] and Confirming this and no other to be my Last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Twenty one.

November 17th 1824 Michael King sworn

West Chester October 21st 1824 Then personally appeared David Pennepacker and John Ralston Esquire who being solemly sworn in due form of law did severally declare and say that they were personally present, and did see and hear Philip King the testator in the aforegoing instrument of writing named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce, and declare the same as and for his Last will and testament and that at the doing thereof he was of a sound and well disposing mind and memory to the best of their Knolwledge and beliefs.

Be it Remembered that on the 21st day of October Anno Domini 1824 the Last will and testament of Philip King was proved and approved in due form of Law and that on the Seventeenth day of November in the same year Letters Testamentary thereon were granted to Jacob King and Michael King (Peter King the other Executor having renounced) who were Sworn to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of the deceaseds Estate into the Registers Office at West Chester on or before the Seventeenth day of December next and to settle the account of their Administration within one year from this time or when thereunto legally required -- Given under my hand and the seal of said office
