Mrs. Frances A. Geesey, 57, widow of William A. Geesey, was found dead on the floor of the Geesey home at 135 North Newberry street by her brother Charles A. Dellinger, when he returned from the mountains at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
As he entered the house he noticed the rooms were filled with smoke. An investigation showed his sister had been boiling a kettle of laundry on the stove when she died of a heart attack. The water had boiled into steam and the laundry was smouldering when he arrived.
Coroner L.U. Zech was called and issued a certificate giving the heart attack as the cause of death.
City police received a call at 4:10 o'clock to send an inhalator to the residence. The inhalator and crew from the Pennsylvania Gas and Electric company responded. The inhalator was not used but artifical respiration was used for a time in effort to restore life. Dr. A.A. Gabriel was also summoned and upon his arrival he pronounced the woman dead.
Surviving besides the brother with whom she resided are two other brothers, B.G. Dellinger, Jacobus and Albert V. Dellinger, North York. She was a member of Christ Lutheran church.
