Emory was born at
Adamsville, York Co., Pennsylvania, on 23 January 1910. He was the son of
William Henry Dellinger and
Gertrude Sophia Hersey. He married
Martha Ruth Bailey at
West Liberty, Maryland, on 16 April 1943. Emory died on 13 December 1995 at
Stewartstown, York Co., Pennsylvania, at age 85. He was New Tag Obituary from the 14 Dec. 1995 York Daily newspaper:

Stewartstown
Emory S. Dellinger of Stewartstown died at 2:16 p.m. yesterday at his residence. He was 84.
Mr. Dellinger retired in 1974 after 22 years as owner and operator of Dellinger's Texaco Service Station, Stewartstown. He worked at the former Fulton Hardware, Stewartstown and Stewartstown True Value Hardware.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, he served with the first and third divisions from 1943 to 1945, in Okinawa and China.
He was a member of Stewartstown United Methodist Church.
He was a member of Stewart American Legion Post 455, Benedict Meade Post 7046 VFW, Stewartstown Lions Club, and Eureka Volunteer Ambulance and Fire Co., Stewartstown.
Born in Adamsville, York Township, Jan. 23, 1910, he was a son of the late Harry C. and Gertrude Hersey Dellinger. He was the husband of the late M. Ruth Bailey Dellinger, who died Nov. 3.
He leaves two sons, David A. Dellinger, Stewartstown, and Carl E. "Jack" Dellinger, York; three grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Paxson, Stewartstown, Erma Wilson, New Park and Florus Saltzgiver, York; and two brothers, Kenneth Dellinger, El Cajon, Calif., and Walter Dellinger, Stewartstown.
Viewing is 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The service is at 11 a.m. Monday at Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main St., Stewartstown, with his pastor, the Rev. James M. Dodson, and former pastor, the Rev. Dr. G. Edwin Zeiders, officiating.
Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
