  • He appeared on the census on 5 July 1860 Marlboro, Monmouth Co., New Jersey, as Bela Brewer, age 33, born in New York. A tailor. Personal estate valued at $300. In the household are Mary Ann Brewer, age 39, and Lucretia Brewer, age 61.1
  • He was named in his mother's will on 2 October 1860 only child of his mother named. Appointed executor. Sworn as executor on 7 June 1871.5
  • He married Louise Palmer Marlboro, Matawan Twp., Monmouth Co., New Jersey, on 19 May 1869.2
  • Bela Brewer, has not been found in a search of the 1870 U.S. Federal census.
