Levi and Frances moved to Stoddard Co., where Levi died. His
estate sale was held 30 Feb., 1838. Frances died in 1878. They
are both buried in Sadler's Chapel Cemetery. In History of
Saddlers Chapel; " Levi Norman and others homesteaded their land
from the US Government. and settled in what is now known as
Saddlers Chapel neighborhood and described on record as
S8-T25-R10 of Stoddard Co., MO.
Levi and Fanny's children; Asa, MARGARET, William F., Sarah,
Eli, Elijah Monroe, Cynthia Caroline, Matthew Johnson, Andrew
Jasper, Nancy Adeline, and Frances Jane. [v31t0198.FTW]
Levi listed in Cape Girardeau Co., Mo. Tax list in Byrd & German
Twp 1818 to
1830. Levi & others, homesteaded their land from the U.S.
Government & settled
in section now known as Sadler's Chapel neighborhood (History of
Saddlers
Chapel). His estate sale was in Stoddard Co., Mo. 30 Feb 1838.
Levi's son,
Mathew Johnson Norman's death certificate says Levi was born in
Tenn. Betty
McDougald says 15 Sept 1836, James Walker was appointed
administrator of
Levi's estate, so maybe he died in 1836.
