A lifetime Cedarville resident, she was born on Jan. 23, 1928, to the late Leroy Shaw and Bertha Fithian Shaw and was the wife of the late Cosey L. Creighton Jr. Before her retirement 26 years ago, Mrs. Creighton had been employed at the Wheaton Glass Company, in Millville, for 28 years. She was a member of the Cedarville Baptist Church and was recognized by the church for having the most years of membership of the congregation. She enjoyed her pets and landscaping around her home. Surviving are four daughters, Vivian Cavaliero, of Cedarville, Nancy Molette, of Millville, Margie Graves, of Hopewell Township, and Christina VanBreeman, of Bridgeton; one sister, Thelma Dunkel, of Cedarville; a brother, Robert Shaw, of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Alisa Werner, James Molette III, John Molette (Danielle), Stephanie Graves, Michele Matish (Harry), Shannon Crescenzo (Christian) and Melanie Graves; and five grandchildren, Abigail and Chase Mattish, Alyssa and Addison Molette and Christian Crescenzo Jr. She was predeceased by a son, William James Creighton; and a brother, Leroy Shaw Jr. Funeral services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 160 Main St., Cedarville, on Monday, Jan. 25, at noon. Thelma Dunkel, 81, of Cedarville died Monday afternoon, Feb. 18, 2013, at her home under the care of hospice.
A lifetime Cedarville resident, Thelma was born in Bridgeton on April 9, 1931, to the late Leroy Shaw and Bertha Fithian Shaw. She was the wife of the late Everett S. Dunkel. She had worked as a former police dispatcher in Lawrence Township for nine years. Mrs. Dunkel also was a member for the Lawrence Township Historical Society.
Surviving are two sons, Nick Dunkel of Millville and Jim Dunkel of Newport; two daughters, Betty Sutherland of Millville and Violet Calvert of Cedarville; grand pup, Hunter; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Neiswenter and Debbie Mazza; two brothers, Leroy Shaw Jr. and Robert Shaw; and a sister, Violet Creighton.
Funeral services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 160 Main St., Cedarville, on Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Mrs. Dunkel’s memory to South Jersey Healthcare HospiceCare, P.O. Box 160, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.

Dora Woodlin Sheppard, 94, of Hopewell Township, passed away peacefully late Tuesday evening, March 2, 2010, at the Cumberland Manor, in Hopewell Township, where she had been a resident for the last three years.
Born in Cedarville, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Bertha (nee Burns) Woodlin. A lifetime resident of Bridgeton, Mrs. Sheppard lived on Cottage Avenue for more than 50 years. She was a graduate of Bridgeton High School, Class of 1933.
For over 50 years, beginning in 1938, she was the secretary and office manager for the E.M. Maxwell Real Estate Agency in Bridgeton. In addition, she served for many years as a director and secretary for Cumberland Savings and Loan and a secretary and trustee for Laurel Lawn Cemetery. Ms. Sheppard was ahead of her time, becoming one of Bridgeton's first licensed real estate agents when she earned her license in 1955.
Ms. Sheppard was a devoted member of the Berean Baptist Temple and was a longtime church trustee.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Getsinger and her husband, Roy, of Bridgeton; one granddaughter, Susan C. Cline and her husband, Dale, of Elmer; one great-granddaughter, Katie Lynn Cline; and two nieces, Madeline Kay Bedwell and her husband, Doug, of Virginia, and Miriam Ruth Barton, of Delaware. She was preceded in death by a sister, Madeline Page Barton, in 1957.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday afternoon, March 6 at 4 p.m. at the Freitag Funeral Home, 137 W. Commerce St., Bridgeton.
The interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery, in Upper Deerfield Township.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3 until 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dora's memory to the Berean Baptist Temple, 68 Vine St., Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
