Rained very hard until 2 PM today. I went to the
Carnegie Ways at the invite of Superintendent Mays and looked
their new Boat City of Pittsburgh over she is all
Steel Hull, Decks, Etc and is fit out with steam up she is
shurely the last word in the Steam Boat line on the Monongahela River
and cost at least $ 400,000 in going the cook House I met
one of the old time Stewards Tom Gates I knew him 35
years age on the Steamer Fred Wilson then owned by ONeil and Company.
