Oscar Fry was the son of
George H. Fry and
Martha Gingerich. Oscar Fry died in November 1918 at
France; Oscar was killed in battle during WW I in France. He was New Tag Obituary from the 26 November 1918 Gazette Daily:

Starview Soldier Meets With Hero's Death in Battle in France

Starview, Nov. 26 - Word has reached here that Oscar Fry, son of George Fry, a farmer living near here, had been killed in action in France. Private Fry left hee in the first draft call, and spent several months in training at Camp Meade. Before entering the national service the young man was employed in the Mt. Wolf Furniture factory. He has a brother, Calvin Fry, also in the service. A sister, Mrs. Emanuel Dellinger, lives in Mt. Wolf. His name appeared in yesterday's casuality list."
