Chester Co., South Carolina, in 1826. He migrated in 1839. On October 15, 1839 he left Chester Co., South Carolina for Troy, Obion Co., Tennessee, arriving there November 22, 1839.. John died on 26 January 1859 at
Troy, Obion Co., Tennessee, at age 76. His body was interred in January 1859 at
Troy, Obion Co., Tennessee, at Troy Cemetery.

Obituary JOHN B. MOFFETT, JR. John B. Moffett, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Moffett of near at the family residence at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning. He would four years old next May. His death was caused by pneumonia, following illness. he was born may 26, 1920, in the house where his death occurred. he is by his parents and two sister, Sarah lucile Moffett and Anna Louise The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Madison.
