Jacob E. Simon was born on 5 January 1842. He was the son of
George Simon and
Cecelia Reger. Jacob E. Simon began military service on 4 June 1864 at
Missouri. He married
Frances Curl in 1873 at
Adair Co., Missouri. Jacob E. Simon was migration; Jacob moved to Kansas for a short while before moving back to Carterville, Missouri. Jacob was listed as the head of a family on the 1880 Census at
Jacson, Sullivan Co., Missouri. He lived in 1885 at
Pleasant View Twp., Cherokee Co., Kansas. He died on 25 July 1892 at
Cartervile, Jasper Co., Missouri, at age 50; Jacob died from injuries sustained from a wagon accident. He was buried in July 1892 at
Carterville, Jasper Co., Missouri.
