     Amanda was born at Letart, Mason Co., West Virginia, in 1884. She was the daughter of Job Snyder and Christina Riffle. She married George Washington Dellinger at Jackson Co., West Virginia, on 23 November 1899. Amanda died in June 1971. From the 26 June 1971 "Parkersburg News & Sentinal," comes the following obituary:

"Amanda M. Dellinger

Funeral services for Mrs. Amanda M. Dellinger, 87, of Belpre, Rt. 1, who died at St. Joseph's Hospital Friday following a long illness, will be held at 2:30 Monday at the Spencer Funeral Home in Belpre. Burial is to be in the Rockland Cemetery.

She was born in Letart, daughter of the late Jerome Snyder and Christina Riffle Snyder. She had resided in Belpre nearly all her life, and was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, James Dellinger of Columbus, Oh and George Dellinger of Belpre; one daughter, Mrs. Helen Quick of Belpre, Rt. 1; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her husband, George Dellinger; and by 2 sons, 1 daughter, 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.".
