"After Dr. Cleaver left the area, his office and house became
the home of Martin and Sue Penn's. Martin Penn, with the help
from his five sons, farmed while also tending to the store.
However, one day in 1933, while raking hay with a team of
horses, the team got spooked and ran off with him. Martin's legs
were entangled in the reins and he was dragged along the creek
bed near the store. Shortly thereafter he died from massive
injuries."

Source: Rousseau Family History Very little has been learned of
David and Ann and he died at an early age in 1748. An Inventory
of David Rousau's Estate was made in 1748 and is to be found in
the records of Westmoreland County, Virginia. Some time after
the death of David, Ann married Samuel Dogan and they kept
control of Hillair and James Rousseau's Inheritance from their
Father's Estate until 1767; Hillair was 24 and James was 21 at
that time. A Document found in Will Book "A", Culpeper County,
VA, is one showing the division of the slaves of David Rausau
dec'd between his two sons, Hillair Rausau and James Rausau and
the laying of the Dower of the widow of the said Daivd Rausau
dec'd who is since intermarried with a certain Samuel Dogan.
