He died 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 on 10 Feb 1958 in Sharon, Barber co, KS from heart attack and was buried 17, 18 on 13 Feb 1958 in St Boniface Catholic Church Cem; Sharon, Barber co, KS. Peter married 19, 20, 21, 22 *Marie Gassen on 9 Nov 1909 in Okarche, Canadian co, OK.
"P.J." was born at home on the family farm near Andale, Sedgwick county, Kansas. He went into business with Ed Ludwig in Okarche, Oklahoma; this is where he met his future wife, my grandmother, Marie Gassen.
After "P.J." and Marie were married, they moved to Kansas between 1911 & 1913; they lived about 1 1/2 mi from the family homestead. This is where my father, F.M. "Pete" Hommertzheim, was born in 1913.
In 1919, they moved to Sharon, Barber county, Kansas and continued farmimg until 1938; at this time, "P.J." sold his farm East of Sharon and moved closer to town; this is when he opened a garage/service station in Sharon, Kansas.P.J. Hommertzheim was the Godfather of Edward "Shorty" Hommertzheim.
