MARY ELLEN BONE COLBY
(14 Mar 1848 - 30 May 1915), wife of Henry H. Colby and daughter of Robert S. and Nancy Bone, was born March 14, 1848, almost within the shadow of the church she so loved, and in the work of which she was so deeply interested, being a devoted, consecrated Superintendent of the Primary Department of the Sabbath School forty-five years. Many of the older people in the present congregation, and most of the younger ones, received their earliest Sabbath School instruction from her. She was progressive and made use of the best methods in teaching and holding the attention of her pupils.
No child ever had a more loving friend or a more earnest teacher; nothing seemed too much trouble for her to do for the enjoyment or benefit of the children, and to the last days of her life she was planning for her class.
Sympathetic by nature, her heart went out to any one in need of help, and many can testify that her hand obeyed the impulse of her heart in rendering prompt and substantial assistance. She was a great lover of flowers and her gifts of blossoms and plants brought cheer to many a sick room.
Four little orphans were taken into her home and cared for as tenderly as her own children. Two of these died in infancy; of the other two one is now a trained nurse, and one a young farmer.
She lived to serve; and in service to others she found her greatest happiness.
She was buried in the Rock Creek Cemetery at Rock Creek, Menard County, Illinois

Darla was born on Feb. 16, 1964, in Oakes to Alvin and Cozette "Cozy" (Colby) Bonnet. She was raised in Fessenden and Minot, where she attended school and graduated from Minot High School in 1982, and from Minot State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing in 1998.
Darla was once married to Richard Aldridge and to this union, a son Michael was born in December 1983. Darla later married her best friend and soul mate Greg E Just on Dec. 13, 1991, in Minot. They made their home in Minot where she was a nursing supervisor at Trinity Hospital of Minot.
Darla was happiest when she was at their lake cabin at Parshall Bay on Lake Sakakawea. She especially enjoyed boating, motorcycle rides or lounging by the campfire with her friends and family. She looked forward to going every weekend or when her work would allow. Darla was an extremely caring mother, wife, friend, sister and daughter and she would do everything she could to make the people around her happy. Her infectious smile and unmistakable laugh made her the life of the party. Darla was adored by many and loved by more, so she will be deeply missed by her family, friends and the community.
Her loving family includes: husband, Greg Just, Minot; son, Mike Aldridge, Moorhead, Minn.; mother, Cozy Wehunt, Minot; father, Alvin Bonnet, Minot; paternal grandmother, Helen Bonnet, Turtle Lake; sisters, Darcey (Dennis) Sharp, North Pole, Alaska, Denice (Paul) Suess, Williston; brothers, Capt. Shane (Teejae) Wehunt, Heidelberg Air Base, in Germany and Justin (fiancee Melissa) Wehunt, Bismarck; mother-in-law, Doris Just, Mission, Texas; brothers-in-law, Terry (Brenda) Just and Jeff Just, both of Minot; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and her dog, Rusty.
