    Mrs. Hewitt was born to the late Edward S. & Mary Ann (Steward) Howey, and she was raised in Woodstown. A 1938 graduate of Woodstown High School, she had attended Pierce Business School and worked as a legal secretary for Acton and Point Law Office for over 30 years.

    Mrs. Hewitt is survived by her sons, Robert E. Hewitt of Hong Kong, China and Michael D. Hewitt of West Deptford; her daughter, Maryanne Carlson of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and her sister, Peggy Mears of Elsmere, DE.

    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Hewitt in 1991, her brother, Neil Howey and her sister, Ellen Howey.

    A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 30th in the auditorium at Friends Village, 1 Friends Dr., in Woodstown.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the H.T. LAYTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE in Woodstown, 856.769.1515.

    Mrs. Jaggers was a seamstress nad retired from the American Sportswear Co. in
    Vineland. She was a member of the West Side Methodist Church of Millville, and
    International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
    She is survived by her husband of 69 years: Luther; two sons: Kenneth Jaggers, Millville and Wayne Jaggers, DE; five grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Ruth Propert Taenzer, of the West Side Methodist Church on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 South Main Road, Vineland, where friends may call one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Millville. For those who wish memorial contributions may be made to the West Side United Methodist Church, 214 Howard St., Millville NJ 08332.
