     Gerald Thomas Ward was born on 12 April 1924 at Essex, England; and his birth was recorded at Romford Registration district in the June quarter 1924.1,3 He was the son of Ernest Charles Ward and Bessie Norrington.1 Gerald Thomas Ward lived on 29 September 1939 at 24 Princes Park, Hornchurch, Essex, England; where he was on the 1939 Register when his occupation was listed as Toolmaker and Maintenance.3 He married Edith Mary Adshead in 1943 at Essex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Romford Registration district in the December quarter 1943.4 Gerald Thomas Ward died on 11 August 2005 at Hertfordshire, England, at age 81; and his death was recorded at St Albans Registration district in August 2005.5,2

      Her married name was Ward.1 Edith Mary Adshead was born on 18 January 1923 at Essex, England; and her birth was recorded at West Ham Registration district in the March quarter 1923 and her Mother's maiden name was Crane.1,3,4 She was the Daughter of Alice Martha Crane and Ernest Cooper Adshead, whose marriage was recorded at West Ham Registration district in the March quarter 1907 at Essex, England.5 She lived on 29 September 1939 at 12 Danbury Road, Hornchurch, Essex, England; where she was on the 1939 Register when her occupation was listed as Order Clerk Buying Department.4 She married Gerald Thomas Ward, son of Ernest Charles Ward and Bessie Norrington, in 1943 at Essex, England; and their marriage was recorded at Romford Registration district in the December quarter 1943.1 Edith Mary Adshead died in 2006 at Hertfordshire, England; and his death was recorded at Dacorum Registration district in October 2006.2
