Jane Hicks (Cockshoot) (Causine) Clarke died in 1662. two years
before Robert Clarke the Surveyor.

October 1, 1655 Robert Clarke makes a Bond to Henry Adams of
Maryland. Robert Clarke shall after marriage contracted between
him and Mrs. Jane Causine Widow, permit unto such persons, as
she shall thereto appoint from time to time the propriety &
possessions of all the Estate left her, by late husband Nicholas
Cawsine deceased, without interruption or molestation, then this
bond to be void, but else to stand in full force . sealed and
delivered in possession of Locus Sigilli and Robert Clarke 1655
(sometime after 1 October 1655 and before 7 January 1656 -
Robert Clarke marries 3rd wife Jane Hicks (who was born 1612 in
England) who had been married 1st to John Cockshoot. 3 children
from her first marriage they are: John Cockshoot, Mary Cockshoot
age 23 in 1658 , and Jane Cockshoot age 17 in 1658.
Jane Hicks Cockshoot married 2nd to Nicholas Causine. she has
two sons from 2nd marriage they are: Nicholas Causine, and
Ignatius Causine. It was Jane Hicks (Cockshoot) (Causine) Clarke
whose daughter Mary was born about 1638 and married Henry Adams
)
7 January 1656 Henry Adams & Thomas Mathews for the use of Jane
Clarke, the late relict of Nicholas Cawsine deceased: to have &
to hold unto the said Henry Adams & Thomas Mathews to & for the
sole benefit & use of the Said Jane Clarke & her Heirs forever &
in
witness where of I set my hand this 7th day of January 1656.

thereabouts Sworn & examined this 16th of August 1658. Her
daughter Jane Cockshoot was given as age 17 years or Therabouts
her answer to the fores Interrogatories, upon oath &
Examination, dated 1758.
Mary Cockshoot married Henry Adams and gives her date of birth
as Follows:
Mary Adams of this Province age 21 years or Thereabouts Sworn
and Examined sayeth she was at portoback at her Mothers house at
the time Benjamin Gill Dyed...
So if Jane Hicks(Cockshoot) (Cuasine) Clarke was 46 in 1658 she
was born 1612.
16 August 1658 the deposition of Mary Adams aged 21 years old or
thearabouts sworn & Examined this 16th day of August 1658.
mentions step father Nicholas Cuasine and sister Jane Cockshoot,
& her brother Ignatius & Nicholas Cuasine. (Mary Cockshoot
married Henry Adams) (Jane Cockshoot the daughter married Thomas
Mathews.) at this time Jane Cockshoot was not married yet.

Magdalene wrote her will June 2, 1729, and it was proved May,
1731 in Henrico Co. VA. In her will she left jewelry, silk
clothing, furniture and other articles to daughters Magdalene
and Judith; her estate, Negroes, stock and other articles to her
sons Jacob, Anthony and John James. Her will displayed
substantial wealth for the early 18th century. (Will BK from
1725-1738)
Will of Magdalene Verreuill Trabue Chastain. Recorded in the
Will Book from 1725-1738. First, I resign my soul to God
Almighty, from where it came, in hopes of a forgiveness of all
my sins, and a joyful resurrection; and secondly, my body to be
decently buried after my decease, as my executor shall see fit.
Item: I leave and bequeath unto my well beloved son, Anthony
Trabue, my negro woman, Betty, and her child, Jenny, for him and
his heirs, forever; my riding horse called Spark with a man
saddle and bridle belonging to it; one of my gold rings marked
"M.C." the large Psalm Book, a silver seal, and ten barrels of
corn, and my desire is, that he may be freely virtue of this my
present will and testament.
Item: To my well beloved daughter, Magdalene Trabue, I leave and
bequeath my cupboard, my side saddle, one box, iron, my black
silk suit of clothes, and my calico, which is not yet made up,
one gold ring with red stones, one pair of gold bobs, my small
Psalm Book, my silver girt buckle, one silver bodkin, and
thimble
with my spectacles.
Item: To my well beloved daughter, Judith Trabue, I leave and
bequeath my chest, my red suit of clothes, my striped silk lined
with red silk, a Dutch iron, one gold ring marked"M.T", one pair
of gold bobs with small red stones, one pair of silver buckles,
and one bodkin.
Item: To my well beloved son, John James Trabue, I leave and
bequeath one chain, gold ring, and a silver teaspoon.
Item: I will and bequeath the remainder part of my clothes to be
equally divided betwixt my two mentioned daughters.
Item: I will and desire that my daughter Magdalene be boarded at
my son, Jacob Trabue's, her brother, or at her godmother's,
Elizabeth Dutois, which herself shall like best. And I will and
desire that my daughter, Judith, be placed or boarded with her
brother Jacob, he being willing to it; if not, with her Aunt
Mary Flournoy.
Item: I will and bequeath the remainder part of my estate after
debts and other demands are paid and satisfied, to my son Jacob
Trabue.
Item: I will and ordain and constitute my beloved brother
Francis Flournoy to be executor and administrator of this my
present last will and testament. In witness thereof I have
